Moments ago it was uploaded by the channel lifewithbunty, the amazing video “Pokemon Go – Shiny Snorunt Encounter While Intentionally Avoiding Berries or Ultra Ball”.
As pubished by lifewithbunty: “We all know about using Pinaps when encountering a shiny during a raid – it’s well established that you are guaranteed to catch the shiny if you hit it with a premium raid ball.
But what about shinies in the wild? Most of us are too excited and anxious when encountering one – I have always golden razzed and used an ultra ball. However I have yet to have a shiny run away from me – perhaps they are similar to shinie from raids. They do pop out of a regular pokeball without a curve ball. I would love more video encounters of a shiny where it ran away.
It should not have been targeted by PoGo+ or a gotcha (look for shiny magikarp video where golden razz was not registered because the Pogo+ encountered it first. Further more, there should be no issues in terms of speed caps, maxed Pokemon storage, or maxing out catches for the day. There have been reports of a shiny running away but still showing up in your storage because of a glitch. Finally there may be the possibility that catch rate dynamics are modified on AR+ mode.
Since most of these scenarios don’t play a factor, I hypothesize that shiny encounters in the wild are 0% flee rate”
